How it Works

• The 2 Story Double Wide A-Frame Garage is Delivered in Two Pre-Built Modules with a Hinged Roof 
• The Two Garage Modules are Moved Onto Your Stone or Concrete Pad with our "Mule" Building Mover, or Directly from the Trailer 
• The Roof is Hinged Up on Each Module
• The Modules are Joined Together and Anchored to the Concrete Pad in the Case of Garages with No Floor 
  
• The Roof is Completed, Final Trims are Installed, Doors are Adjusted, and You Have a Garage!

Transportation 

• Garages Up To 28' in Length are Delivered on One Load
• Garages Over 28' in Length are Delivered on Two Loads
  

Setup Time

• Setup Time Varies Depending on Size, Siding Type, Whether the Garage has Shed Dormers or Not, and Whether the Garage is Built to Have a Heavy Duty Wood Floor to be Set on a Stone Pad, or No Floor to be Anchored to Your Concrete Pad
• Setup Times Typically Range Between Half a Day to Two or Three Days 

Site Access 

• Because the Two Garage Modules are Delivered Pre-Built, We Will Need Adequate Access on Your Property to Move the Garage Modules onto the Building Site 
• 24' Wide Garages are Delivered in (2) 12' Wide Modules, but are 14' Wide when the Roof is Hinged Down in the Horizontal Position for Transport 
• We Will Typically Need At Least 16' Daylight Opening in Width and At Least 14' Daylight Opening in Height to Place the Garage Modules
• Longer Garages, and Site Access Paths that Require Turns May Require More Space to Maneuver 
• Note: Our Drivers and Setup Crews are the Best of the Best. This is What They Do All Day, Everyday, and They are Diligent and Skilled. However, They Don't Work Magic and the Garage Modules Typically Appear Larger on Delivery than You Might Expect, So It's our Recommendation to Create the Extra Space for Delivery When Possible

Foundation Requirements 

• We Can Build Our 2 Story Double Wide Garages with a Heavy Duty Wood Floor to be Set on a Stone Pad, or with No Floor to be Set and Anchored On a Concrete Pad
• Stone Pads
  • Required for Garages with Heavy Duty Wood Floors
  • Crushed Stone is Recommended So it Packs Together Nice and Tight, Loose Stone Will be Displaced as We Drive Across it to Place the Garage Modules 
  • 3"-5" of Crushed Stone, Leveled and Packed, 2' Wider and 2' Longer than the Overall Garage Size is Recommended 
• Concrete Pads
  • Required for Garages with No Floor 
  • The Necessary Thickness of the Concrete Pad Varies Depending on Use and Local Codes, but in all Cases the Perimeter Thickness Will be Greater, this is Commonly Referred to as a Monolithic Concrete Pad
  • The Concrete Pad Should be the Exact Width and Length of the Garage. For Example a 24x36 2 Story Double Wide Garage Would Require a 24'0"x36'0" Concrete Pad 
  • We Will Anchor the Garage Onto the Concrete Pad with Concrete Anchors 
• Note: AmishCo is Different From Most Local Contractors in That We Do Not Handle All Aspects of Your Project from Beginning to End. Our Focus is Very Narrow: The Garage Itself. As Such We Do Not Provide Site Prep and Concrete Services Ourselves, However We Will Provide You with Full Drawings at the Time Your Order is Placed Which Show All Construction Details, Elevation Drawings, and Site Prep Requirements. This Will Provide You with the Information You Need to Give to Local Contractors to Quote the Site Prep and Stone or Concrete Pad

• We Can Build Your Garage with a Heavy Duty Wood Floor or with No Floor 
• Garages with Heavy Duty Wood Floors are Built with (5) 4x4 Pressure Treated Foundation Runners Underneath Each Module (for a total of 10), with 2x4 Floor Joists 8" On Center, and 3/4" Tongue & Groove LP ProStruct SmartFinish Flooring 
  • This Option is More Popular for Vehicle Storage, ATV Storage, and General Workshop Use
  • The Heavy Duty Wood Floor is Strong Enough to Sustain the Weight of Cars and Trucks 
  • However, Water and Wood Floors Don't Mix Well, for this Reason the No Floor Option to be Set on a Concrete Pad is the Best Option for a Daily Use Garage
• Garages with No Floors are Built with a 6x6 Pressure Treated Perimeter Base with Steel Reinforced Corners
